Once again: marching music

What a crazy country! It's about 8:30 pm here in Panama City, Panama, and we can hear the sound of marching music from our apartment in the city center. This is now the fourth time bands with horns and drums play in the streets during the "month of the homeland" as they call November here. It's the first time they do it at night time though.

Stephan,

How well could I live in Panama City with a passive income of $50,000 a year?

I'm tired of America and it's hatred and violence. I just want to live in peace with nature, and with other people who share this planet with me.

I want to eat great seafood, drink good liquor, and romance some belle donne.

Could I do that down there?

With $50,000 fixed income per year you would do just fine in Panama. It's actually quite a lot of money.
Regarding the beautiful women. Be careful. Their objective is not necessarily the same as yours. Wealthy foreigners often end up as easy prey. Please note that "wealthy" has a different definition for them than it has for you. The cute receptionist at the bank might well be one of the "pro girls" and you would never expect that. Her $300 monthly salary is usually not enough for a nice life style. I leave the rest to your imagination.

Re: Once again: marching music

not be so quick to judge all panamanian women... I'm from Panama living in Califonia.  I have 2 Engineering degrees and an MBA from Harvard and making a 6 figure income with 31 years old.  Even when I was living in Panama I was making about $1200 a month, which living at home went a long ways.... I even used to go shopping to Miami for the weekend!!!!!

There are some the type you said, but not all of us are that way!
